About our Speaker:
Kathryn Fortin, an eLearning solutions architect and support analyst, has been instrumental in the successful delivery of the Decoding Talks series in addition to hosting and supporting virtual classes for the Codes & Standards team.
A graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Kathryn has worked with various industry training organizations, foreign military entities, and energy industry players to help develop, upgrade and expand online courses and webinar trainings; along with 20 years of project management and help desk structuring, analysis and support management.
Based on her own experiences of balancing career and motherhood, Kathryn created Fortech Solutions, a family friendly company providing flexible career positions allowing staff to balance their work and family responsibilities.
“Adding interactive activities into online training not only increases the engagement level of the participants, it also increases the retention of the material being taught,” says Kathryn. “With added engaging activities, we also increased post training feedback scores from the trainees.”
